What is the School Gardens Competition?
The School Gardens Competition is an annual event organized by the 48th District Agricultural Association (48th DAA). It provides schools and homeschool groups from grades K-12 to learn about gardening and agriculture. Each spring in April, schools can enter their garden to be judged and have a chance to win prizes. It’s a great way for students to get hands-on experience growing plans and caring for the environment.
If you have an ongoing school garden or are new and want to get involved, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at da48th@aol.com!
